Malubog Integrated School is a mountain barangay school of the Division of Cebu City, located in Sitio Tiguib, Brgy Malubog which is still part of Cebu City – North District. At first, it was named Pung-ol Elementary School because it was situated in Sitio Pung-ol, Malubog. But later, when this particular school site which was not owned then by the school, was bought by the Ayala Land Incorporated and started their project, the real estate development and putting up a golf course in the above-mentioned Sitio where the school was previously situated, the was transferred to Sitio Tiguib at Ayala's expense.
The new school site was bought by the Ayala Land Incorporated and was donated for the sole purpose in exchange to that in Sitio Pung-ol. The school site is in the slope of a hill wherein you have to go down the 46-step stairwayfrom the transcentral highway.. The slope elevation is just being secured with “rip-rapped” stones all over the school premises.
Then , in 1996 the name of the school was changed in honor of its barangay name, Malubog. The school is just along the transcentral highway.
